IAM Aphasia Programs May 2 to June 27, 2017

 

Our Program

 IAM assists people with speech and learning problems due to the disability of aphasia caused by a stroke or other brain injury. Groups are held in several locations. Our sessions at Mount Sinai Downtown and The Church of St. Luke in the Fields are conducted by licensed Speech-Language Pathologists who volunteer their services. Groups at Hunter College, Teachers College, Columbia University, and Brooklyn College are conducted by Graduate Student Clinicians under the supervision of licensed Senior Supervisors.

All of our programs are free of charge. Everyone is welcome!

Please note three changes for this month:

  • The hospital where we meet on Mondays in now called Mt. Sinai Downtown. The location remains the same and we continue to meet from 6 pm – 8 pm.
  • In honor of Presidents Day our Monday schedule will be a little different this month. We will meet on the 6th, 13th and 27th.
  • Both Hunter and Brooklyn College begin a new semester of aphasia groups!

I AM International Aphasia Movement

IAM assists people with speech and learning problems due to the disability of aphasia caused by a stroke or other brain injury. Groups are held in several locations. Our sessions at Mount Sinai/Beth Israel and The Church of St. Luke in the Fields are conducted by licensed Speech-Language Pathologists who volunteer their services. Groups at Hunter College, Teachers College, Columbia University, and Brooklyn College are conducted by Graduate Student Clinicians under the supervision of licensed Senior Supervisors.

All of our programs are free of charge. Everyone is welcome!

IAM Aphasia Program on Monday, January 23, 2017 – please confirm that the program will take place before coming.

 

The weather bureau is predicting heavy rain and high winds on Monday, January 23.
A decision will be made on Monday about whether to hold the meeting. Please check your email or call Carlota Schoolman at  (917) 532-7936 before coming to the meeting. 

Please note that the Monday night meeting is in the same place as always. However, the name of the building is different. It is now called Mount Sinai Downtown.
